On the other side of the coin, when Canada started using
Foreign Workers it was for professional use. We were bringing in doctors which
we were in a desperately short supply.
There is a solution to this problem that our great country
refuses to do that would solve so many problems. Lower education costs and
lower the education restrictions.
Why do you think there are so many immigrant doctors? Could
it be because their countries allow more people into their educational programs
to become doctors, I have had several doctors that are East Indian, anyone
other than me notice how many more there are over Canadian doctors? Could it be
that their educational costs are less and restrictions are lower?
Canadian students are one nationality that pay the highest
educational costs in the world, but get little from it in the end because we
end up paying back for too long so why bother staying in school to become a
doctor for seven to twelve years?
We don’t need immigration to fill any type of jobs here in
Canada. What we need to do is fix our system.
Our educational system needs to be more open by allowing
more students into certain courses like becoming doctors so we do not have to
rely on immigration and we need to lower our educational cost so that more
people can afford to return or keep pursuing a career they choose.
Immigrating doctors has been necessary at this point, but if
Canada were to take the initiative we could be producing just as many doctors
and helping them with the cost of their education as any other country instead
of opening the gates to allow foreign workers in to do all the little “kick in
the pants” jobs that students, social service cases and anyone that needs that
income can do.
It is time the Canadian government stopped wasting taxpayer
dollars on bringing immigrants to Canada and spent it on educating Canadians.
